Map experimentation is being done and the reset mechanism is being tweaked to provide full optimism during the reset process. Big areas are being constructed and I have now hit a dead end but I am coming up with ideas on what the next thing to be built is. I have successfully remastered the diamond armor! The armor was made from a photo taken by nasa! it is so hd that when you look at the texture externally like below you will hit a lag spike but its so worth it once it loads in game. I now have a planet minecraft account at: http://www.planetminecraft.com/member/sterlingk/ GO AND SHOW SOME SUPPORT! :D
So I have completed building the second boss battle, I also tweaked out most of the bugs, such as the mobs getting stuck in the wall ect... I updated a massive command line that is in the picture below. After updating the command blocks they ran smoothly until... A redstone clock which is made to summon guardians riding in boats didn't stop and summoned at least 10000+ of them. The server which I use to run the world slowed a bit down but the game its self crashed. I typed /kill @e[type=guardian] and /kill @e[type=Item] into the server command prompt, I joined the server only able to load 1 chunk near the disaster. Once the chunk with all the guardians in it loaded, it lagged really hard and then a ton of guardians rendered in and started dying which made me crash, I even was using optifine with 2 chunk render distance and all particles off. I tried turning the server to peaceful and also tried rolling back but that tried to corrupt the world. So 2 hours later with constant crashing and rebooting I decided to use mcedit I didn't want to use it because last time I did the world got corrupted, but it was my last option. In the picture below you can see a obsidian box in the middle, that was the area that was affected, there was hundreds of thousands of entities inside. After deleting all entities in that selected area everything worked out! I was able to play the world again!. Tons of tweaks are being made to the redstone circuits and more details are being added to make a good impression on the landscape that it takes place in. I do want to note that personally I think my map is becoming very difficult, so if you were to play this map you would need to be patient because, it will take time to solve the puzzles, and some parts are almost like a complex version of I spy. Slowly ill add more screenshots of the map in the MAP PICS tab of this website.
So I started the construction of the second boss battle in the map and it is nearly complete, some bugs will be fixed and a few redstone circuits will be rearranged, the automatic reset system will have to be added. The boss battle goes like this: first off it summons endermites in the arena and they will chase after you for about 25 seconds, then morph into zombies, after you kill them all, the boss will summon and there is a scoreboard system that allows you to battle the boss for only 30 seconds. After the 30 seconds are up another wave will be summoned, after they are all killed, the boss is again "summoned" and allowed to combat for another 30 seconds, where the boss is summoned will create a "lava fountain", after the 30 seconds has expired a wither boss will summon from the fountain. You will have to dodge the blasts or attack the wither boss, only for about 30 seconds, the wither boss will then disappear and the boss will be summoned where the wither boss vanished, along with some ally's. Now your goal is to kill the boss. Also massive free roaming areas were built that are "maze like" I myself got lost in the cavern like mazes and buildings, the objectives of the player is either find a way out or find hidden keys that lead to a way out.
Most of you know what makes my map a little unique is that it has an option to reset the entire map just by pressing a button at spawn so you can play the map again. Well now I have made giant command lines in the areas that needed them, they branch off from the main circuit of an area where the redstone was initially powered, so lets call it a "Central Command". Now as soon as a player has reached a certain point of the map like a barrier or confined area then another command line will reset the "Central Command" of the past completed area, therefor resetting all the sub circuits. More areas are being constructed that will help contribute to the map in a certain way, some areas will have nothing special in them and some will have secrets that will give you great rewards on your journey.
So far all I have is the scenery/landscape built but not the redstone circuits for most of the areas, I have been expanding a lot of areas and they need to be finished, its better to expand some of the areas because I feel like my adventure map was just to direct and not an adventurous feel to it so I added more large areas to explore so you can get a better experience out of it. I have also been taking my sweet time just to finish this map because I have school to worry about and im getting my future plans together. Also Im very border line on staying on the internet and im thinking about leaving all social media and so I can live life at its best and my future is what matters most to me and if a screw up now it can all go to waste so it best to finish off strong. The internet has too much drama and its just another waste of my time when I could be following my dreams. But we will see where my this gos. :)
As Many as you all know minecraft version 1.11.0 just came out, well that is a big problem because instead of having the commands that I currently use be upercase based like /summon Villager now they wont summon because the 1.11.0 update now changed the summons to lowercase format /summon villager. They still will not summon even in the upercase format so now I have to lowercase eversingle summon command and change things so they specify what is going to be summoned I cannot do commands like this one
/summon FireworksRocketEntity anymore I have to do /summon fireworks_rocket most of the things will be changed for the 1.10 update and some glitches and bugs have apeared with the texture pack I will have to fix, such as a glitch in the texture of the stone fence block ect.. Not much has been happening just updating the server that I use to contruct the map and making other worlds with the Multiversecore plugin, so I can build things and make schematics out of them and import them onto the map world. Doing this prevents any kind of destruction or loss of builds from world corruption ect.. and for example what if I wanted to generate a world with a special plugin and wanted some of this landscape on the map then I just make a schematic file out of the area I want. :D
Focusing on more of the structures rather than redstone components building more structures and finishing off details. Some areas are already done just need to install the command block lines and all that stuff. Im also adding more puzzles and mazes, some puzzles are very hard to solve if you have never played the map, unless you got a good eye for hidden chests. >:) It is going slow but fast at the same time, I just get caught up in the redstone part of it, so just fiddling with a little redstone circuit 3 hours already passed by, I like to place the redstone circuits on the spot of action I think it is way easier that way (they are all hidden Im not a professional yet). P.S DONT FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE MAP PICS TAB!
I am currently making the trailer for the map even though the map is a long way from done, I feel like making the trailer and just keeping it, and I will not release it to the public until the map is almost completely done.
So far the trailer is almost complete, lots of sound effects and visual effects are being constructed together to make a hype heart pounding trailer, well anyways it does for me..
Not much progress is being done so I figured I would get the easier part done first. :D
First off I started changing the textures on the title screen and FINALLY got that minecraft logo replaced it is very weird how the texture looks like and it was quite difficult to line up the text. So far so good I changed a few mob textures to transparent so you cant see them and also editing more mechanics of the map still. Learning new machanics also such as custom NPC paths ect... Im still building more and also adding more story, I have used some textures from other resource packs that have NO REGUALTIONS on using their textures, so I will use them and still credit them for the textures, credits will be both in the minecraft end credits(after killing enderdragon), and my map credits (Custom chat text/titles, ect...). I have made my own textures with Paint.net like I made LuckyBlocks and changed the diamond armor to a galaxy look and made a awesome custom diamond sword accidentally. Also I changed a few mobs/entitys textures to transparent so you cant see them. Some textures still need to be fixed up so they are not as glitchy. But yea thats all I can think of on what I have done! Thank You For Reading. :D
Diamond Sword Enchanted
Diamond Armor Still Needs Some Work (More HD)
So far I have had my map world destroyed twice due to corruption and loss of files, but this weekend I decided to build on it because of the time I had. I worked on it for about 3 hours and what I built compared to last time was wayy better I actually impressed myself with the war base in its design, what I did was improve the war base immensely and remade the tree(again), Also I still need to re-fix all the command block lines and I think, I need to find a way on how to make the whole map a chain reaction, what I mean by this is that one redstone circuit connects to another circuit in some way activating all the redstone in that area and keep doing that though the whole map, how this will work is I will have a way for the player to activate something that will then send a redstone current to all the CMD block clocks in the area, that the player is in the range of, because if the clocks are already running before that player gets to those loaded chunks where the clocks are in the clocks will freeze so I need to have the place of activation(by player) near the CMD block clocks, this would be better than redstone clocks because the CMD block clocks always freeze when players are out of the range of the loaded chunks. So I need to fix that sorry it may be confusing to the people who read this. X3 Well anyways progress is good and EVERY TIME im done building I will make a COPY of the world save file onto my desktop just encase if something happens AGAIN to the world, so then I wont loose my superb progress. AND Check Out The Progress At:
Thanks for hangin in there and having support towards me, so don't leave me! the adventure is not over yet, its just begining....
~Stay Awesomely Endless~
I was working on the map and then all of the sudden I get kicked out, then I go to my single player world list and the world is not there. After seeing the world not in the world list I decide to look in the .minecraft saves folder and it was in there. After alot of research I found that its because the world file has gotten corrupted and there is at least a way that you can recover the world file which was great, the only problem was that I tried every way possible to recover the world file and none worked, so the the saves folder remained as a corrupted file and the whole world got destroyed. So now I will be taking a break from minecraft and be playing other games just because Im starting to loose motivation. :( But a good thing is that I still have the older version of the world on my usb but im just sick and tired of rebuilding the world over and over again. So the world is not completely destroyed.
So what happend? you might ask, well what happened was I moved my saves folder to my desktop, and my screenshots too before completely deleting my .minecraft folder because I wanted a fresh minecraft file so I can make some nice worlds for my vanilla block video I have been planning for a while. After all the recording was done I deleted all the new worlds I had made for my TVB video and then I was going to put my saves folder into the new .minecraft . Then I realize I dont see the world file or the world in the minecraft singleplayer world list, and then I panicked I looked in my recycling bin and every where else and could not find it and I started to freak out. Luckily I had my map saved on my USB and the only problem was it wasn't updated and it was an older version of my map, but still its better than nothing. I decide to use that world file and I played it and about 1/4 of the map was gone (Older version) and all the barrier blocks were gone. So about most of the map was gone but otherwise nothing else changed. I decided to destroy about 1/3 of the map and rebuild it because it looked ugly and I wanted to expand the area more so it feels more like a adventure map instead of having the landscape direct the player towards a specific direction (also thinking of landscaping War Zone too). So I destroyed the tree of the gods and built a new one, I also destroyed the tunnel which warps you to the War Zone and made another "chunk island" and I am starting to build some more village on the new island, there still need to be command block clock repairs also. :D So everything turned out really good looking I will also post some screen shots soon. :3 Screenshots Here: http://sterlingkdoesminecraft.weebly.com/map-pics.html
So far I have fixed the clock problems and I also added more of a story to the "script" so the story is not too confusing even though I think I'm a bad story writer XD. So far I updated the story line about half way and the npc/chat/ feed/story text has been more evenly paced, Then updated a few of the commands in the command line for the "Map reset" so when you are done with the map you can play it again if you wanted but you need to press the map reset button at spawn. So far progress is slow, but the start of the story and the beginning of the map are really smooth. So far Im focusing on building things and the command lines, Im not too worried about the "Details" such as grass, flowers, furniture ect... So thats an update I will update every now and then and maybe put a few screen shots on here but I don't want to spoil it. ;)
Sorry i have not updated any information about the map. Hopefully I can get some work done on it this week end. I need to fix some redstone clock issues because I got a new computer and I got it to update from 1.7 to 1.8 finally, and the new text format .json messed some of the redstone clocks that were in the command line, so every thing such as boss fights, and player location detection is messed up. I need to replace all of them with /fill clocks, and I need to also fix the story/npc's chat feed rate, such as when the npc's talk they talk a little bit to fast, so I need to put delays in between the command blocks in the command line at spawn so it is more evenly paced. I need to update a few commands that got out dated since I changed to 1.8 and I need to figure out how to add custom sounds with a texture pack for the map. So far so good on what I need to do when I start to work on it again! I still have a very long way to go since I slacked off alot from minecraft. I still need to build the second boss room and develop the command line for it, and build more puzzles in between the second and the third boss fight. I'm thinking of having 4 bosses in total and the very last is the hardest of course its BOB! but i'm for sure not telling you the other 3 >:D So I think my plan is set and Im hoping I can get this done finally but also I want to take my time so I can make it the best as I can, I think this will be a really good map for being my FIRST!
